The Grand Bazaar
These are our first steps into the commercial onslaught that is the Grand Bazaar.
The bazaar has been here for over 300 years and contains over 4000 shops.
This is the souk par excellence. Vendors accost you from all directions.
One of my favorite things in Istanbul!
The little onion-domed kiosk you see in the video is a kind of landmark in the Bazaar.
It used ot be a Turkish coffee house and is now a jewelry boutique.
